Dragon agrees to SEC judgment

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said Elizabeth Dragon, former SVP of R&D at Sequenom Inc. (NASDAQ:SQNM), agreed to a judgment to resolve allegations that she knowingly presented misleading scientific data about Sequenom's SEQureDx Down syndrome test. In documents filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Dragon neither admitted nor denied the allegations, but consented to a civil penalty to be determined by the court and an injunction against violating antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws. She also agreed to be barred from serving as an officer or director of a public company. ...
