InterMune denies sale rumors

InterMune Inc. (NASDAQ:ITMN) said on Thursday that it is "not currently in discussions regarding a sale of the company." InterMune shares rose $2.43 to $48.48 on Wednesday after media reports that InterMune retained Goldman Sachs to evaluate a sale.
