GenKyoTex raises $20.4 million

GenKyoTex S.A. (Geneva, Switzerland) raised CHF18 million ($20.4 million) in a series C round led by Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners. New investors Vesalius Biocapital and MP Healthcare Venture Management joined existing investors Eclosion; SEFTI SGAM; and Fondation d'Aide aux Entreprises in the round. GenKyoTex's GKT137831, a small molecule NADPH oxidase 1 (NOX1)/ NOX4 dual inhibitor, is slated to begin Phase I testing for diabetic nephropathy this year. ...
