HHS issues RFP-III

The Department of Health and Human Services released RFP-III, the final of three planned requests for proposal under the smallpox vaccine tender program administered by NIH's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Under RFP-III, NIAID will award one or two five-year contracts to manufacture 20 million doses of Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) vaccines for the U.S.'s Strategic National Stockpile. The contract will include options for up to 60 million additional doses of the vaccine and the maintenance of cGMP capability.
