Gen-Probe beats Street

GPRO reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.32, beating the Street by $0.02 and up 39% from $0.23 in the same period in 2004. Fourth quarter revenues were $88 million, up 28% from $68.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2004. Blood screening product sales were $40.7 million, up 57% from $25.9 million.

GPRO's full year EPS was $1.15, also $0.02 better than the consensus estimate and up 8% from $1.06 in 2004. Revenues rose 13% to $306 million from $269.7 million. For 2006, GPRO expects EPS of $1.30-$1.35 on revenues of $325-$335 million. The Street is expecting EPS of $1.44 on revenues of $339 million. ...
