Cempra raises $46 million

Cempra Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Chapel Hill, N.C.) raised $46 million in a series C round led by new investor Quaker BioVentures. New investor Devon Park Bioventures joined existing investors Aisling Capital; Intersouth Partners; investment banker I. Wistar Morris III; and Teachers' Private Capital in the round.
