Takeda rumors fail to stir Genzyme shares

Genzyme Corp. (NASDAQ:GENZ) was up $0.19 to $70.03 on Monday after rumors surfaced that Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (Tokyo:4502) explored an acquisition of the biotech. Takeda and Genzyme each declined to comment. At Sept. 30, Takeda had Y805.6 billion ($9.7 billion) in cash. ...
