New round pushes Grail’s venture tally over $1.9B

Grail Inc. raised $390 million in a series D round, marking the year's largest venture round to date. New backers, including Public Sector Pension Investment Board and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and two undisclosed investors, joined existing investors including Illumina Inc. (NASDAQ:ILMN) to participate. Since its founding in 2016, the liquid biopsy company has raised more than $1.9 billion in four venture rounds.
