Priority review for Vertex's CF triple combo

FDA accepted and granted Priority Review to a triple combination therapy comprising elexacaftor (VX-445), tezacaftor and ivacaftor from Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:VRTX) to treat cystic fibrosis.

The combo has a PDUFA date of March 19, just before Chairman, President and CEO Jeffrey Leiden will step down from his position on April 1 to become executive chairman.
