U.K. launches subscription model to pay for antibiotics

The U.K. has launched a subscription payment model for antibiotics in an attempt to reinvigorate investment in the antimicrobial space.
The pilot project, which will be led by NICE and NHS England and NHS Improvement, will test a de-linked model in which companies receive upfront payments for the value the novel antimicrobial brings to the NHS, rather than for the amount of antibiotics sold.
