BIO, NVCA urge U.S. to ensure export controls won't hinder innovation

BIO has asked the U.S. Department of Commerce to consider the full impact export controls would have on the sustainability of the U.S.’s global leadership in biotech before imposing controls on specific biotechnologies. The National Venture Capital Association issued a blunter warning, saying that an overly broad definition of emerging technologies might harm innovation in the U.S.
