Israeli government launches digital health plan
The Israeli government is investing NIS1 billion ($285 million) in a national digital health plan with the goal of digitizing medical information and health records, enacting regulatory changes to encourage data research, and advancing cooperation agreements with international entities to support digital health research and development by Israeli companies.
The digital health plan will establish the "Mosaic" initiative -- a national database that will include digitized clinical, genomic and other health information from volunteers and will create a research infrastructure to develop medical solutions.
