Nanowire artificial photoreceptor array implant could restore vision

In a paper published in Nature Communications, researchers at Fudan University developed an array of nanowire artificial photoreceptors and suggested that subretinal implantation of the array could restore vision in patients with retinitis pigmentosa or macular degeneration.
