CDER names Mullin to newly created strategic position

FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research appointed Theresa Mullin as CDER associate director for strategic initiatives in the Office of the Center Director. In an email to CDER staff, CDER Director Janet Woodcock said Mullin, who was director of the Office of Strategic Programs, will oversee areas of “strategic interest to external stakeholders.”

Woodcock said Mullin will continue to lead the agency’s Patient-Focused Drug Development (PFDD) initiative, which includes work related to the FDA Reauthorization Act (FDARA) and implementation of the 21st Century Cures Act. She will also continue to lead CDER's international program, “building on recent reforms to the International Council for Harmonization,” Woodcock said. ...
