Infectious disease fund GHIT adds cash for next phase

The Global Health Innovative Technology Fund, a public-private partnership spearheaded by the Japanese government to fight neglected infectious diseases, said it has secured $200 million to fund its next five years of operation. The funding includes $130 million pledged by the Japanese government last year (see BioCentury Extra, May 20, 2016).
