EMA to hold workshop on Alzheimer's guidance

EMA will hold a workshop on Nov. 24-25 to obtain stakeholder input on developing products for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. The agency is in the process of updating 2008 guidelines on the topic and said the workshop will ensure it takes into account "the most up-to-date scientific developments in understanding and treating" AD as well as the positions of experts in the field. The workshop will include discussions on the impact of new diagnostic criteria on clinical trial design, the potential use of biomarkers and the need for distinct assessment tools for different AD disease stages. ...
