Biotech stocks sink amid broad selloff

Biotech indices slumped amid a larger selloff Friday. The BioCentury 100 fell 139.52 (2%) to 6857.84, with decliners outnumbering gainers 63 to 35. The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index shed 110.94 (3%) to 3,563.26, the iShares NASDAQ Biotechnology Index was off 10.98 (3%) to 339.84, and the NYSE Arca Biotech Index (BTK) dipped 90.26 (2%) to 3,765.77.

Also on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 530.94 (3%) to 16,459,75, while the NASDAQ was off 171.45 (4%) to 4,706.04. ...
