Altshuler leaves Broad Institute for Vertex

David Altshuler will leave the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard to join Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:VRTX) as EVP of global research and CSO, effective early next year. He will replace Peter Mueller, who retired Oct. 31.
