Acceleron sets share number for follow-on

Acceleron Pharma Inc. (NASDAQ:XLRN) said it now plans to sell 2 million shares in a follow-on underwritten by Citigroup; Leerink Partners; Piper Jaffray; and JMP Securities. If sold at Acceleron's close of $49.14 on Friday, before the amendment was announced, Acceleron would raise $98.3 million.
