AACR starts genomics initiative

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) announced its Genomics, Evidence, Neoplasia, Information Exchange (GENIE) initiative. The program aims to improve patient treatment decisions by pooling genomic data and linking genetic characteristics to clinical outcomes.

All project data will become publicly available. AACR said the GENIE registry already contains more than 17,000 genomic records enriched with data from late-stage cancers. ...
