MedPAC recommends Part B and D changes

The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission released recommendations for the Medicare program in its (see BioCentury, March 14).

MedPAC said Part B also could institute measures to control ASP increases, including consolidating billing codes for treatments with similar health effects, and bundling payments for oncology drugs and non-oncology services into a "per episode" treatment plan.
