Talecris to raise $550 million

Talecris Biotherapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:TLCR) began an offering of $550 million in senior notes due 2016. Talecris said it plans to use a portion of the proceeds to pay off loans and borrowings under a revolving credit facility. Talecris was down $0.10 to $21.25 on Tuesday.
