Good vibes to follow?
Shareholders will look beyond Icahn, Genzyme compromise at annual meeting

While Genzyme Corp. Chairman, President and CEO Henri Termeer last week made a politic compromise with activist investor Carl Icahn, investor reaction was tepid and the company's shares remain just above a 52-week low of $45.39.
Thus shareholders at the annual meeting on Wednesday this week will be looking for signs that management and the activist board representatives are on the same page. While both sides have separately said chunks of the company are up for divestiture, investors may be looking for signs that operations are stabilizing and for whether Termeer is going to be given time to reset the company's trajectory...
