Biogen waiting to fill CEO job

Biogen Inc. last week announced a series of management moves - including the naming of James Mullen to president and COO - but still left open who ultimately will replace James Vincent, who resumed the CEO reins following the resignation last month of James Tobin as president and CEO.

Mullen, who was vice president of international, took over the new posts immediately. Vincent, who is chairman, told BioCentury that the company had been working over the past nine months to make changes to senior management, and that Tobin's resignation simply sped up the Mullen announcement by four or five months...
