Now that the saga with activist shareholder Elliott Advisors is over, Actelion Ltd. (SIX:ATLN) has decided some non-core assets may be better off in a new home where they can receive attention and resources.

But the company doesn't want the assets to go too far from home - thus Actelion is considering a spinout rather than out-licensing to allow the company to retain more value...
