Endocyte, Pacira hit the road for first biotech IPOs of 2011

On the road again

Two biotechs hit the road last week, hoping to sell the first IPOs of the year: oncology company Endocyte Inc. and specialty pain play Pacira Pharmaceuticals Inc.

The companies have slated their deals for the week of Jan. 31.

Endocyte expects its offering will give it enough cash to fund Phase III testing of lead candidate EC145 to treat platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
