Ariana Pharmaceuticals SA is hoping that its computational technology will allow companies to speed up lead optimization and reduce failures due to toxicity by addressing five parameters simultaneously instead of sequentially: activity, absorption, stability, specificity and toxicity. The company's Knowledge Extraction and Management (KEM) technology provides chemists with practical suggestions based on multivariable analyses.
KEM is an adaptation of computational technology developed by artificial intelligence researchers at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) to predict outcomes based on multivariable data. It is being used, for example, to predict "pre-fault" conditions that might lead to nuclear accidents...
