Canadian tug of war

The Canadian government plans to ask Parliament to pass legislation that could curtail reimportation of drugs to the U.S. But legislation has already been introduced in the U.S. Congress that could keep prescription drug imports flowing from Canada, even if Parliament ratifies the proposal.

Health Minister Ujjal Dosanjh last week said he would introduce legislation to "allow the government of Canada to prohibit the bulk export of prescription and other needed drugs when it is necessary to protect the health of Canadians." ...
