Lisa Raines: Continuing the service

Family and colleagues have established a fund in memory of Lisa Raines, a Genzyme Corp. senior executive who was killed in the 9-11 terrorist attack on the Pentagon. The Lisa Joy Raines Endowed Undergraduate Research Assistantship Fund will provide scholarships to undergraduate students at Georgetown University.

Raines graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1982 and was intimately involved in the development of biotechnology policy at the Industrial Biotechnology Association, the Biotechnology Industry Organization, and as senior vice president of government relations at Genzyme (see BioCentury, Sept. 17, 2001). ...
