ImmunGene, Cephalon Australia to deliver interferon to tumors

The apoptotic effects of interferon alpha are well established and marketed versions of the cytokine are used to treat a variety of hematological malignancies. But side effects have limited its use. Now ImmunGene Inc. has its first deal for a technology to selectively deliver IFN alpha to treat blood cancers and solid tumors.
