Reaching higher for targets

The newest collaboration between Ipsen Group and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies should help each partner further its work in a field where they share a common interest. The deal gives the midcap specialty pharma first crack at licensing novel targets in the field of pituitary adenomas, including acromegaly, for which it has one marketed drug. For Salk, the deal will provide cash to continue development of a new animal model of the disease.
