Bio-Techne, Novus Biologicals deal

Research tool supplier Bio-Techne acquired Novus for $60 million in cash. Novus supplies antibodies and other reagents for life science research. Bio-Techne, which financed the acquisition with cash on hand, said the acquisition provides antibodies for new assays and kits and for use with instruments that Bio-Techne plans to offer following the acquisition of protein analysis company ProteinSimple (Santa Clara, Calif.).
