Daiichi Sankyo, University of California deal

Daiichi partnered with UCSF to discover and develop novel drugs and diagnostics for multiple neurodegenerative diseases. Daiichi and the university's Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases will jointly perform high throughput screening and optimization on the pharma's compound library, and will establish drug discovery programs in disease areas that include Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and fronto-temporal dementias.
