CSL's CSL Behring subsidiary donated more than one million international units of Humate-P to treat bleeding disorders to the World Federation of Haemophilia (WHF) to treat von Willebrand disease (vWD). The donation of units, which the company said is valued at $1.3 million, will be provided to patients through the not-for-profit's Global Alliance for Progress program and is part of CSL's 2009 commitment to donate two million units of Factor VIII to WHF per year for three years. The Global Alliance for Progress is a healthcare development project launched in 2003 to improve the diagnosis and treatment of bleeding disorders in developing countries. ...
