Novo Nordisk, Rhône-Poulenc Rorer deal

Rhône-Poulenc and Novo Nordisk formed an alliance to co-promote both companies' hormone replacement therapy (HRT) products. Rhône-Poulenc's HRT line includes two products from Noven Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NOVN, Miami, Fla.): Menorest (17-beta estradiol) and a combination estrogen/progestogen patch, which is in Phase III trials. Novo Nordisk products include Kliegs, an oral continuous combination of estradiol and norethisterone acetate (NETA); Trisequens, a sequential combination of oral estradiol and NETA; Estrofem (oral estrogen) and Vagifem, a local vaginal treatment containing estradiol. ...
