Boston Bio, Cambridge Biotech Corp., Carter-Wallace deal

Carter-Wallace will purchase CBCXE's enterics and human Lyme EIA diagnostics businesses for $4.5 million. Products included in the transaction include four diagnostics for intestinal pathogens, and a test for Lyme disease. CBCXE will manufacture the products for Carter-Wallace under a six-month contract.

CBCXE also sold its reference laboratory business to Boston Biomedica for an undisclosed amount. The lab provides specialized confirmatory testing services. CBCXE will receive royalties on revenues from the existing client base. ...
