Functional Intact Fibrinogen data

Independent researchers reported that the FiF assay is better for screening populations at risk of cardiovascular disease than the currently used CLAUSS functional method. MABXA's assay is based on a monoclonal antibody that recognizes the intact fibrinogen molecule and isn't influenced by fibrin degradation products.

As presented at the International Fibrinogen Symposium in Ulm, Germany, fibrinogen levels were measured using both methods in 1,814 subjects from the Framingham Offspring Population to determine if the methods predicted the prevalence of cardiovascular disease. ...
