DeKalb, Monsanto deal

The companies reached a 10-year agreement under which Monsanto would spend nearly $158 million to acquire an equity stake in SEEDB and have certain rights to purchase the controlling interest in the agricultural seed company.
Monsanto will pay $30 million to acquire 10 percent of SEEDB's voting class A common stock and 8 percent of the publicly traded class B non-voting common. SEEDB has 5.2 million shares outstanding prior to the deal, and will have about 5.6 million total shares outstanding after. ...
