EMBX (Research Triangle Park, N.C.) settled its patent infringement suit with Intervet. EMBX had alleged that an in ovo injection sytem under development by Intervet, Rame-Hart, and Maryland-based inventor Edward Bounds infringed EMBX's Inovoject injection method and violated EMBX's U.S. Patent No. 4,458,630 covering the in ovo administration of various poultry health products.

Under the settlement, EMBX granted Intervet (Millsborough, Del.) a limited, royalty-bearing sublicense under the '630 patent. ...
