CY-1747 cell adhesion blocker data

CYTL (San Diego) reported animal data on its selectin cell adhesion blocker CY-1747, showing protection against the clinical consequences of treating trauma.
At the Cell Adhesion Meeting in Keystone, Colo., company and University of Washington scientists said the blocker reduced by 75 percent (12 ml/kg compared to 56 ml/kg) the amount of fluid replacement needed in a rabbit model of trauma, a significant reduction. The volume of fluid required for resuscitation in trauma patients is inversely correlated with survival. ...
