Therion researchers and colleagues published in the Journal of Virology the finding that cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) isolated from patients infected with one strain (clade) of HIV were active against other clades of HIV as well. CTLs from U.S. patients infected with clade B cross-reacted with non-B clade viral proteins, and CTLs from African patients infected with clades A, C, or G cross-reacted with clade B virus. ...
