The U.S. District Court in Massachusetts held a hearing on the appeal by Institut Pasteur and Pasteur Sanofi Diagnostics of the decision by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to confirm CBCXQ's reorganization plan (see BioCentury Aug. 5 and 26).

The court extended the current stay of the confirmation order pending its ruling and ordered Pasteur to show cause why it should not be required to post a $3 million initial bond if the appeal is not decided by the end of September. ...
