At the International Conference on B Lymphocytes and Autoimmunity in Prague, LJPC presented additional data from a Phase II study of LJP 394, which is designed to tolerize pathogenic B cells, arresting their production of antibodies to double-stranded DNA. Antibodies to dsDNA are believed to be responsible for lupus.

The double-blind, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 58 patients with mild lupus, who received four months of treatment at doses of 1, 10 or 50 mg or placebo either every week, once every two weeks, or once a month. Follow-up monitoring continued for two months. ...
