Dermagraft-TC engineered dermal tissue data

Dermagraft-TC reached its primary end point, the ability to adequately prepare the burn wound bed for successful autografting, according to results presented at the American Burn Association meeting in Nashville, Tenn. Dermagraft performed as well as cadaver skin, the control substance and the current gold standard (p<0.0001). The mean autograft take rate for Dermagraft was 94.7 percent at day 14 versus the control take rate of 93.1 percent.

Dermagraft also performed significantly better than control (p<0.005) on secondary end points of ease of removal, amount of excision at removal and bleeding at removal, and investigators' overall satisfaction with the temporary covering, according to the presentation by a clinical investigator.
