LXR preclinical data

Researchers reported preclinical data at the American Society of Transplant Physicians and American Society of Transplant Surgeons meeting in Texas, showing that a combination of hypothermia, conventional preservation solution and LXR015 significantly improved function of donor organs 24 hours following removal.
Donor rat livers treated in this way showed significantly increased function, including portal flow, bile secretion, oxygen consumption and liver enzyme production, compared to organs treated with standard methods.
