Immunex, American Home Products deal

IMNX and AHP's Wyeth-Ayerst affiliate revised their research agreements for the joint development of new oncology products and the TNF receptor (TNFR). The deal reduces research expenses IMNX is devoting to the collaboration, which it said then would be available to develop TNFR for rheumatoid arthritis, Leukine GM-CSF in fungal infections and other products.

Under the new agreement, IMNX will provide $16 million per year to support AHP discovery research in oncology, plus 50 percent of the shared development costs if an AHP product is selected for clinical testing. ...
