BioSource, Medgenix Diagnostics S.A., Nordion International Inc. deal

BIOI signed a letter of intent to acquire the in vitro business of Nordion's Medgenix subsidiary, a manufacturer of ELISA test kits, for an undisclosed amount of cash. BIOI also will assume Medgenix's debt and pay future royalties.

The acquisition will provide BIOI with European-based manufacturing capability. The in vitro business of Medgenix posted $12 million in revenues in 1995. ...
