ProCyte, Kaken Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. deal

PRCY reacquired Asian rights to its Tricomin PC1358 and analogs for hair loss from Kaken. PRCY said Japanese regulatory authorities do not recognize androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness) as a disease, removing the compound from the drug category and leaving it to compete with a multitude of over-the-counter products.

It did not cost PRCY anything to reacquire the rights to the copper-based compound, to which Kaken received exclusive Asian rights in 1992. ...
