AGPH presented updated results from Phase II trials of Thymitaq in patients with head and neck, pancreas, prostate, liver, colon and non-small cell lung cancers at the American Association for Cancer Research meeting in Washington. Of 19 evaluable patients with head and neck cancer, 4 showed reductions in tumor mass >50 percent, including 2 with reductions of 100 percent. Of 18 evaluable patients with liver cancer, 2 showed reductions >50 percent, and 2 others had tumor reductions sufficient to permit surgical removal of previously inoperable tumors.

The dose was 1,000mg/m2/day for five days in continuous infusion, for six courses of therapy with a three-week resting period between dosing. The total number of patients in the Phase II is about 100. ...
