Company researchers announced development of a system to study protein interactions in cells. The yeast tribrid system allows study of protein-protein interactions that are dependent on the presence of a third protein, such as the enzyme tyrosine kinase, Roche said. Such multi-component interactions are more representative of what actually occurs during cell signal transduction than two-protein interactions.
